For all Symphonic Distribution labels, this is where you can come to for some of your content related questions, answers, and requests. We will keep adding to this and if you have anything else you want us to post up, please feel free to email us at content@symphonicdistribution.com

Important Notes To Remember:
- If you are having issues or bugs with the content portal, please be specific and provide screenshots when reporting so we may fix.
- If you time out when trying to use or access the portal, email us your IP by visiting www.whatismyip.com
- If you need an FTP for the Mac, go here to view and download: http://www.pure-mac.com/ftp.html
- WE DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU UPLOAD WAVS VIA WEB
- We have TWO FTP programs for FREE download for the uploading your music via PC:

- Try and submit music to us 3-4 weeks prior to the release date!
- Ensure that your files are 44khz over 16 bit stereo wav prior to uploading!
- Always, ALWAYS, upload inside the release folder for the release you are working on.
- NEVER rename the folder after you have created a release.

Prepare your release the right way:
The first and most important thing that you must do is properly prepare your release. This is the only way your music should have been sent for months now and now we have to enforce it in order for you to properly deliver releases. The good news is, this will take away many content errors and/or re-encoding fees a label may incur. Once you have your files ready and in the proper format, then you can begin to use the content delivery portal using the rest of what is contained. So, with that said, please ensure your release meets this criteria.

AUDIO: 44khz and 16 bit stereo audio WAVs ONLY
(no Mp3s, AIFFS, WMAS, no 24 bit, only 44khz over 16 bit stereo is allowed)
IMAGE: Image cover must be 600x600 JPG or PNG ONLY
(no other formats and/or sizes will work, so please ensure this is correct).
RELEASE: Ensure you are preparing and issuing your release date for 3 weeks before the upload.

Also ensure that you have a FTP program. If you need one, we have attached a direct link for you to download a FREEWARE version of a helpful FTP program. Please let us know if anything in regards to this. You will use the FTP program to deliver ONLY your audio files while inputting the data on the system. (Future phases of the system will allow for you to upload directly on the system itself if you would like to.)

Logging in and using the Content Portal
This is what you will use to deliver music. If you have multiple labels in contract with us, you can set them up with this login to then go forth and send content in through one login. If you do have multiple labels, you will currently only see one of your labels in the system as you can go forth and add on. If we do not have a label that you enter under contract, we will not approve the release until a contract is worked out with our sales department.

At the same time, if you have your FTP program already downloaded, you may setup your FTP. The following below is using the settings of the software we are recommending you download. To download the FTP program (BlazeFTP), please go forth and click on this link to download. It is a direct link to the install program. If you are on a MAC, please go forth and select a FTP program this suitable for you. If you do not have one, let us know.

Below are quick instructions to get a release live!
1 - In case your label is not added, click “Labels” to add. We will only approve labels that we have contracts for.
2 - Add each artist involved on the release. This includes: Primary Artist, Featuring Artist, and/or Remixer Artist.
3 - Click “NEW RELEASE” to create a new release.
4 - Enter/Edit all preliminary info for the release. (Catalog #, Release Name, Label Name, Artist)
5 - After this, click the button under "Tracks" and then click "Edit Release"
6 - Enter the secondary info for the release (UPC, # of Tracks, Main Genre, Etc.)
7 - After this, you may upload your tracks using a FTP. FTP settings are listed below.

Site Name: Can be whatever you want
Host Address: 74.200.207.114 (Only this)
Port: 21
Username: Your Content Portal Username
Password: Your Content Portal Password
Login Type: Select Normal
Host Type: Auto Detect
Default Local Directory: Leave Blank
Check on “Use Passive Mode”

8 - After tracks are uploaded, click “Tracks” under your release to add and edit information.
9 – Once that is complete, click the button under "Region" and hit save.
10 - After you are done with all steps, click "SUBMIT" and review your release.
11 - If all looks ok, scroll to the bottom and SUBMIT YOUR RELEASE!

NOTES:
** By uploading through FTP make sure you upload into the folder with the same catalog # as the one created.
** Ensure your audio files and cover art fit the requirements above.
** Once you enter label, artists, remixers, you only need to do Steps 3-8 for each release!
